Our Key Priorities:
Biomedical Engineering function holds the responsibility to provide effective solutions for healthcare technology, engineering services for clinical/medical devices operating through the Institute. The function has obligation for performing the following stated tasks:
- Implementation & monitoring of standard policy & procedures.
- Policy framework of critical equipment strategies with risk assessment plan for health technology.
- Implementation, monitoring and maintaining of standard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of defined smart goals through effective maintenance management plan (Installation & Commissioning of new medical equipment, Inspection, Equipment Uptime, preventive & Corrective maintenance) of Medical Equipment.
- Budgeting & Life Cycle Planning of Medical Equipment.
- Needs assessment planning & Pre-Purchase Technical Appraisal for acquisition/selection of new medical equipment /modalities.
- Vendor /contract management
- Implementation of RACI Matrix & Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- To provide effective user trainings for safe operating of Medical Equipment.
- Technical trainings & credentialing program of BME staff to enhance the technical skills.
- Updating the computerized medical equipment database Inventory.
